It’s only the third day of the New Year and game updates still haven’t propagated in the App Store. 2011 brought as a lot of great games. We’ve already told you about the first 10, here’s the second 10 to make up our Best 50 Games of 2011!

DrawRace 2 - Review

I’m not going to lie, the concept still seems a bit weird to me, even after having played the original and the sequel. That being said, it’s still surprisingly fun to play, and it’s pretty intense when you get into it, not just a simple line drawing game. You can either pick up the iPhone / iPod Touch version or the iPad version, you’ll have a blast with either of.

Epoch - Review

“Follow the echoes of a lost civilization in a visually-stunning post-apocalyptic world where only robots survive to fight a never-ending war. Fight towards your goal and piece together the fragments to reveal exactly what happened when the old world ended. Is this the dawn of a new Epoch? And how can you find the one person you were originally assigned to protect?”

Final Fantasy III - Review -

The game is half the price, $15.99, and it is an enhanced version of the DS version with Retina Display support and much better textures. If you think this is too expensive, then you’re not a dedicated iOS gamer!

Flick Golf Extreme! - Review -

Of course, it’s nothing groundbreaking, but who’s complaining? The new extreme environments are really well rendered, considering they take place in some random places. I will say though that these Extreme environments are pretty fun to play in, with lots of “what the f$#@” moments!

Forever Drive - Review

“Forever Drive is a racing game set in a beautiful 3D futuristic city made, in part, by YOU. Using the BUILT-IN Track Editor, tracks created by different players are joined together into a never-ending road to drive!”

Galaxy on Fire 2 HD - Review - Universal

Although most of the games on our list support all devices, this is one of the exceptions. Galaxy on Fire 2 HD was released almost a year after the regular version, and runs exclusively on the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. We’ve talked about the game before, and it was in our top of the year list from last year, but the HD version takes all that and wraps it up on awesome visuals.

If you just got an iPad 2 or iPhone 4S for the holidays, I’d recommend picking this up. And if you have an older device but still want to play this game, you can also pick up the regular version.

Grand Theft Auto 3 - Review - Universal

Grand Theft Auto 3 is a Playstation classic, and it’s almost hard to believe that you get to play this on your phone. While we found some shortcomings in the game (which we pointed out in our review), Rockstar did a brilliant job in porting over the classic to iOS, and it controls decently most of the time. At the end of the day, if you’ve never played this game before, you can now on your iPhone or iPad, and if you have before, you can drive through Liberty City just like you remember it.
Groove Coaster - Review - Universal

In short, Groove Coaster is a groovy, psychedelic experience. Following a similar art style to the one found in Infinity Gene, the backgrounds and effects that follow around the song change with the tempo. TAITO put a lot of work into this one, and it showed, we were instantly in love with it. TAITO also recently updated the app with more content, which was really the only thing we found the game to be lacking when we first reviewed it.
Infinity Blade 2 - Review – Universal

When Epic took the stage at the Apple event to reveal Unreal 3 Engine for iOS, we had only seen the beginning. Epic Citadel  was a cool tech demo, which the original Infinity Blade  followed up on as a more advanced tech demo.

Infinity Blade II shines not only because it has improved what were already the best graphics on the platform, but because it expands gameplay to actually make it a game, not just a glorified tech demo. You can read our review if you want a good idea of whats in stock for you, but just trust me when I say the game is fantastic.

Jetpack Joyride - Review - Universal

One of the most addicting game of the year is Jetpack Joyride. I have to say no further than it is made by the folks over at Halfbrick for you to know you’re in for a treat. Jetpack Joyride is a universal app and is like your average endless runner, collecting coins and upgrading stuff, but with a twist: you’ll be mostly flying.

And as the name would suggest, you use a jetpack. Now after release you can pick up the game for free, which is a steal considering I am STILL playing this game and competing with friends on Game Center.

30 more are coming. Do you have your picks yet?
